The art practice of David Maroto lies in the crossover between narratives, literature and the  visual arts, as well as in the use of games as a creative method. Maroto is interested in a multidisciplinary approach (installation, sculpture, video, performance, sound pieces, printed matter...) and in developing creative strategies to facilitate the participation of the spectator in the reception of the work. Enhancing her active role is a tool to achieve a deeper engagement, which gives more room for the generation of new interpretations of the artwork. His work with and about artist novels, and the creation of art projects in the form of games requires the expansion of his visual art practice in other fields like research, writing and game design.
